When submitting dictation to be transcribed there are a number of factors which increase the transcription time. By applying the following five tips you can decrease the time taken to transcribe your digital dictation and save you money.
1. Ensure all speakers sit an equal distant from and speak towards the microphone.
2. Keep mobile phones well away from the recording device and if possible turn them off.
3. Record your audio in a quiet office with the doors shut. Eliminate as much background noise as possible.
4. Only one speaker at a time. Speak clearly and spell out any names, unusual words or terminology specific to your business.
5. Advise your transcriptionist of speaker names, their roles and the dates of the dictation.
